question about factory wheels on 95 Z

what is the widest tire you can run on the factory wheels on a 95 Z28? I want the same size all around, so I guess what is the widest you can run on the factory wheels AND on the front?

I'm pretty sure that the widest you can go on the stock rims are a 255/50-16.

Someone else chime in if that is incorrect...

Hope this helps!

The problem is, in a street tire, there isn't much wider than a 255/50-16 that you can buy. Hoosier makes a 275/45-16 road race tire that will fit (per Hoosier's recommendations) on an 8" wheel, but thats a reduced tread depth, heat cycled compound for road rasing or Auto-X. Kumho makes the Victor Racer in 265/45-16, and they do have a version with a full tread depth. Not sure how they would be in the rain though.
