question about damage
hello there. i was recently searching craigslist for a cheap car, and stumbled upon a 91 camaro rs. the girl that owns it says it has 20x,xxx miles and i was wondering what the life expectancy of these cars are. She told me there was a recent engine and tranny rebuild, but can't remeber when. Another thing she told me was she hit a tree and the passenger side panel behind the post is busted up. She also tells me that the doors on both sides do not open. What exactly would be causing this? Is it frame damage? Or a quick fix? Also if it is frame damage, how does it affect drivability. Thanks alot, and I apologize for the wall of text.
There's no such thing as a quick fix for a 3rd gen Camaro unless the darn thing had already been completely overhauled and had everything replaced and then they backed into a pole. This car you're talking about sounds like a POS that will just suck your money down the drain until you sell it or throw it away. Just think of all the crap you'd have to change... hoses... water pump... distributor... etc... etc...
