Putting on factory ground effects spoiler

I just ordered a factory ground effects spoiler from x2jesse1x and was wondering if there was anything special I needed to know before I attempted to put it on. When it gets here I am going to go to Advance Auto or Autozone and gets some 3M double sided tape (yall know the stuff) but is there anything else besides cleaning the area with alcohol first?

its a good idea to rub kerosene all over your car before you put it on.

Then I would install it with liquid nails rather than the tape

The trick is that the area has to be spotless. No left over grease, oil, or wax, or anything else. Clean, clean, clean..

Looks like you have to drill holes to install it I really hope I dont **** it up. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of bit to use? I thought it just went on with 3M double sided tape.

I'm not sure if that's sarcasm, or real advice.

I wouldnt drill holes

It was drilled in my car and I had to weld the holes when i removed it to sell it to you

I would just use liquid nail or 3m tape on it

With mdacton, you can almost never tell.

Well, he didn't say "rub the entire car down with kerosene, set it on fire, and then use liquid nails to put it on" so I can't tell.

The Captain (Derrick) hangs out in the lounge enough to know to be skeptical of anything mdacton says.

its was a joke, don't use liquid nails.....

I can tell you how to get you bolt holes in the perfect spot. Take a pc. of paper and make a long strip. Poke a nail thru it and stick it pointing up inside of the bolt hole.

Make sure the strips are long enough to come outside the perimiter of the spoiler. Sit the spilor in place and tape down the strips of paper. When you remove the spoiler your nails will be right where the hole needs to be

I'm not drilling any damn holes in my car, if it falls off it falls off.
