Putting 93-96 tailights on a 97+ (pics)

Yeah I finished it never put up pics though... Some like it some hate it, but I don't give a rats a$$ I like it Never liked amber on NBM, and the older lights follow the lines of the car so much better.

Before pics...(for those that have never seen a stock NBM Camaro before )

And here are after pics.

And here is a pic at night after I rewired them. I have it wired so the full light is on. Turn sign, and brake still work the same as usual.

Simple and easy cost me like $25 and took less then 20 minutes to do rewiring to how I wanted it and all.

You don't even have to rewire if you don't want to.

Looks good... I like how the 93-96 tailights follow the line of the rear hatch... I never liked 97 up lights.

Me too. The older ones are prolly the better looking of the two but as a '97 owner I always associated the tail lights with they're proper year models.

So when I see the 93-96 tails, my mind says "Old interior, LT1 motor"

looks good. I wanted to get the 97+ so my car would look newer but then when i really looked at the back of my buddies 97 i noticed they don't really flow with the lines of the car and i decided to keep the stockers. I might try polishing the plastic sometime so they look like new.

Looks loads better. Best thing to do is rid the car of amber. Keeping colours to a minimum gives it a much smoother look.

I know I have a set fo clear corners, still debating if I shoudl put them on or not... I wish I coudl get red front turn signals but I am sure that is illegal.

Re: Putting 93-96 tailights on a 97+ (pics)

those look a lot nicer than the stock ones. At the time I didn't realize there was a difference between 93-96 and 97 so when I bought replacements I got Altezza style CF tail lights. Had I known about 93-96 styles I would have never obught them.

I also hate having amber on my car and clear corners are going in asap.

I PS'd this real quick from one your car pics and I think clear corners would look good... I have them on mine and love them... They clean up the front nicely.

They do look nice I think I might have to go ahead and put them in.

Any ideas for bulbs?

BTW thanks for the photochop.

Clear corners look great. Maybe tinted ones on a black car might look even nicer? Do they even do them? Think the tint spray will not look good though as you can still see hints of amber underneath.

Do you get 'silvertec' bulbs over here? They are really good for getting rid of that 'fried egg' look, especially if you've got clear corners. As the name suggests, they have like a mirror effect coating on them, but emit light colours of your choice.
