Re: fiberglassfabricatorsinc.com
I would seriusly consider trying to find another place to buy the SS hood. I just got mine last week and just gone done installing it today. I was very uphappy with it. I had to take a drill to the hood just to get the hinge brackets, strut brackets, and latching brackets just to even bolt on. And don't even begin to get me going on getting the damn thing shiped to my house. First time they sent it to me the mornons and Overnight, the shiping company that they use, don't know how to respect other peoples property and get something shiped to your house in once peice. Plus that over night company are like the cable company. "Um excuse me can you be there between the hours of 12 pm to 5 pm" who do they think I am just someone that can take off work when ever I want to. And to talk about the hood itself its warped in someplaces doesn't line up with the feners. Altho I'm not an autobody expert I just wanted to get it on the car as soon as possible so it wouldn't get messed up sitting around my house. I guess I should have just spent the extra money and went to chevy and bought a stell hood from then and probably had no trouble putting it on. So all and all I would advise getting a hood from them just keep looking in junk yards and on forums like this I'm sure with enough time you will find one.

well as mentioned above this company is a hit or miss-
i rebuilt my front end and i used an FFI hood - i got mine shipped to my work for 400 and i had nothing but good service with them- it arrived within 3 weeks and they kept in contact with me the entire way.
anyway if it helps the decision heres some pics of the hood from arrival - initial fitment- and finished quality
first out of box
out of box (white stuff is styrofoam)
fitment on car- bolted right to factory hinges with some minor drilling of holes
fitment from angle
passenger back corner had to mess with hinges to get right
being painted
painted 2
paint 3
final product
hope this helps in your decision process- i did a lot of research before buying from this company and being in college and doing the complete rebuild money was tight and it seemed like a worthwile risk. and im happy i took it
when all was said and done my only problem is the hood sits 1/16" higher on one side and lower on other fender- but car looked like this so it might be part to blame - and the front bumper is the 60$ ebay special bumper - whom i plan on replacing after a few winters - i wasnt happy with its fitment-
anyway in doing all my research i made sure to document this hood for others and to aid in their decision- if u want i think i have more hi-res pictures laying around ....

Re: fiberglassfabricatorsinc.com
well someone had good experiance with them. Guess I should have figured that something would go wrong with me. I have the worst luck of any one you will ever know or meet. But I got mine on with a lil tinkering but like I said before I just wanted it on the car so it wouldn't get messed up sitting in my room. I'm just gonna have the body shop fix it as best as they can get it when I send it off to get painted.

Pure Muscle, that got it! Thanks. Kingman 109 thanks for the pics I think the car looks great! They did a great job on the paint. Crasher 80, man I know how you feel when trying to rush a job like that. It seems like everything you do works against you. I looked up the CF parts and they are expensive. Thank you guys for the help.
