why not lower the front using hals, and then maybe cut the rears or remove the rubber isolators, atleast with the hals up front you would have an adjustable ride height and shock to boot.

If you just want to lower, then springs will be just fine. How many miles are on your car? Shocks might just be a good idea to replace while your doing it.

I only have 59,000 miles on my car so I'm not sure the shocks are wore or not.
