problems after installing gauge overlays

I installed indigloo gauges and I used heat glue to glue it to the original because it kept on kitting the needles, now my needles are still sticking and my speedo is off a little, is there an easy way to fix this

Heat glue on the gauge!! Anyhow.....I had the same problems when I installed mine. I pulled the needles off of the speedo and tach with 2 small screwdsrivers to pop them off. (The speedo is self adjusting....the tach I just noted the RPM's prior to doing this.) Then I' put the needles back on the gauges....but did not push them in all the way. (You need to einstall the tach gauge with the engine running.) The needles are seated enough to be stable, but give an extra millimeter or so of clearance so that they don't stick on the gauge overlay.

P.S. My horror at the heat glue is that the indiglo gauges have a lifespan of only 2-3 years (or so I've been told.) IT might jack up your origional gauge overlay when you try to remove them at a later date........

Good luck, hope this helps.

I had the same problem when I put in my reverse indiglows, but I didn't even have to pull the needle all the way off, if you just pry it slowly and gently you can usually get it far enough away to begin functioning, and that way you don't have to worry about screwing it up. I just let the overlay hold mine up though, I didn't even glue them in, and they've stayed fine.
