Hey everyone, I am new to the site but have been looking allot. I just bought my 96 Z28 (green) all stock with 68,000 miles. I love the car. One small problem is the mirrors move when people shut my doors to hard. Is this a common problem? Should I get new ones or can they be fixed? Also thinking about painting mirrors and top black but have not seen many pics of them that way with green. If anyone has one please post so I can see. Thanks.

 

If the mirrors and top of your car is all ready body-color, IMO don't paint them black. My 99 came with the mirrors and top black, then I had them painted body-color and it looked a lot better !

So IMO, body-color mirrors and top looks better, than in black!

Also the mirrors are easy to take off if you want to try to fix yours.

 

I dont think it was a common problem.For the price of them on ebay its prolly worth it to just buy new ones instead of trying to fix them.I dont think ive ever seen a green camaro with the top not being black.They look great black with tinted windows,gives a ****pit type look.Way more agressive.WIth the mirrors its a matter of apinion.With a green car they dont stick out so much being black.Ill post a pic of my car when it was green when i get to my other computer.
