Post Post# 2 of the FREE Overlay Templates Mod....

Okay Jason closed our other one since it got so big. Lets try to keep this going with new ideas, here is the info currently and a copy of my original post. I would like to thank you all for the work you have done on these, and also Brent a special thanks for hosting the images. Remember guys this is for us all to hopefully share with one another, make sure to send anything you come up with to Brent and he will post on his page here ---> http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/overlays.htm

Okay as we all know they are allot of companies and people selling these white faced, ac, headlight, and shifter plate overlays. Well they are just making these out of Photo Paper. I have all the fronts and can scan them if someone will help make different designs and colors for all to use. If you will do these I will be more than happy to store them and distribute them to others. This will save us all allot of money and give us more options. I have several ideas myself as I did this about 2 years ago myself. But since that time I have not used Photoshop and lost touch with the basics. So if intersted in helping out email me and I will try and help as much as I can. I can get the faces for all years Camaros and TA's to scan so thats no problem, just need someone to edit these.....

I just went through all of that last post but didn't find anything on how to get from template form to actually putting it in the car. It was ended right when that was being talked about. Thanks for any help cause I wanna try designing and printing some of these.

Thumbs up

I think this is a great idea. I studied through the first 6 pages of the last post before my eyes went numb. Viper, is there any way you (or any other volunteer) could host a database of AAaaaalllll those scans? Its difficult to search through the posts to find the proper one. Also, with a decently thumbnailed web page, it'd be easier to follow with everyone's additions. just an idea, and keep up the awesome work guys. we're all grateful.
Joe
EDIT: maybe brent could host? or someone tell me if he already has?
EDIT NUMBER 2: I'm an idiot, i just found brent's page. sorry people.

I have already done mine. I did the white and changed the numbers to black, and the bulbs to red which results in a red type indiglo at night. You don't need to worry about glueing them in place, once they are sized and cut properly the piece that fits back on the top hols them firmly in place. Here are a few pictures, the night shots are on the second page of that album. Leave me a message on that forum and let me know what you think.

Brent, what is the best way to print out the images in your page?? Is it better to save as? If so, what should I open it with? Or can I just print it off IE? Thanks a lot.

For the best quality select the "VIEW FULL SIZE" option on the bottom left of each pic.. if that option it isnt there then just select "Normal Size" above the pic.
Ive been planning on making alot more, but havent got around to it, Ive been really busy.

Does anybody have a template of the overlays similar to the MacEwen style? I mean ones that you don't have to remove the needles for. Also, how do you get the templates to the right size before printing? Thanks in advance.

I'd love the black checkered flag on the 93-97 (pref 94) Z28 (150 mph speedo). No one has done this but on the 98+ it was done and looks super. Anyone care to take two seconds and do this for me? Email me if you got time and did it.

Cool

Brent, i just emailed you some of my productions. They're somewhat cool(i think ), about 4 hours of work total. If anyone expresses interest, i'll put more effort into them. and the heartbeat ones can be easily customized to different colors. Is anyone else working? and does anyone have a scan of a 95 V6 110mph speedo cluster? please? thanks people!
