Possible projector lights for LT1 Birds....

I was browsing threw ebay and i stumbled onto these things. Just wondering if anybody has taken the dive and got them. If they worked it would actually be kinda cool.

I know they arnt HID's but I was thinking you could allways put in one of those HID kits like the one in https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...eferrerid=4015 thread. Would it work? Or are these housing just too damn cheap to last?

they are not really projectors and will put out some crappy light output. Save your money and get some quality genuine hella housings. Rallylights.com sells a beautiful hella housing - look for 165mm free-form with H4 lamps. Simply get the simply plug conversion and some good bulbs.

Or you can do what I did....

Putting a HID kit in the stock housings may look cool but the light pattern iis going to cause a lot of glare.

Honestly its not going to look good. Best halogen housing with a HID I have seen for our cars is my previous setup. Hella 165mm free-form housings with a Kaixen Hi/Low H4 HID kit. This did not produce much glare at all and the performance was decent for what it was. Stay away from the cheapo "projector" housings like these.

When I get some spare change together, I'm going with a kit from the site below.

http://www.brightheadlights.com/

Not sure if it goes against message board policy to post this site, as I'm thinking they are not an supporting vendor of the site, so just let me know, and I'll remove the link.

Sinister/Rocinrol on this message board has a set on his car, and he mentioned how he liked them. They are a true HID, projector style unit.
