Polishing brake calipers?
Polishing brake calipers?
Hey what do you guys think about polishing the calipers?
jsut polishing them up a little bit with a wheel so they are shiny, slap a decal on then clearcoat them with some duplicolor?
Or shoudl I just go into painting them?

Re: Polishing brake calipers?
I dunno how bad you wanna go that route. If you want to take a quick and somewhat ****ty looking view at it you can go grab a wire wheel and go to town on it.
Ive never done this with calipers, but most metal "polishing" you start with around 300grit sandpaper, then 500, then a 600wet. Theres really no need to go higher than 600 for a caliper as it will seem very smooth already. Then apply your decal and slap some clearcoat on their. Should last a long time.
