polished valve covers or powdercoat factory ones?
Should i get new polished valve covers or get powdercoated oem ones?
Do aftermarket valvecovers fit right?
Has anyone experienced problem with aftermarket ones?
What are the best aftermarket valve cover that are notched for the alternator.
Thanks in advance :-D

Depends. 9 times out of 10 I would say polished, but if you have a color scheme going in your engine bay, than maybe I would say powdercoating. One or the other? - Polished. Why dont you just save some money and polish them yourself??

johnsocal,
I don't know if you read GM HighTech Performance but they listed some valve covers that look pretty sharp. They are GM valve covers. They are clean looking and have a small bowtie and say Cheverolet on them.
part # 12497978 polished aluminum
part # 12497979 black wrinkle finish
part # 12497985 chrome
if you enter these part #'s at www.gmpartsdirect.com you can see a picture of what they basicly look like.Pretty sharp though.Mutch better than the Moroso covers.
Good luck
John

Well I finally got around to installing my pasenger side chrome valve cover. I bought them from a neigbor who pulled them off of an LT1 Vette and let me have them for $40. All I had to do was drop the alternator, cut a larger who for the oil filler tube and put the valve cover on. No problem whatsoever with the alternator. I also saw the ones on Ebay and they look really good for $90.
I bought mine off of Ebay. Here they are on my car, engine pics are on 2nd page. http://www.cardomain.com/id/sh8kes
I would buy the GM covers if I were going to buy any aftermarket ones, but I like the others as well (e-Bay...)
Now thanks to Dupli-Color you can also anodize them yourself...if you have a red or blue color scheme going, that might look pretty good. PM, AIM, or E-mail me if you wanna know more.
And not trying to thread jack here, but why does everyone always say "Nice ride, come check mine out..." on Cardomain? I see that everytime I look at someones site on there...
