Hello people, I have a red 94 Z...... the problem with it is this. The gap between the front of the hood and the front of the car (the gap that you stick your hand in to unlatch the hood) is getting bigger and bigger as I drive more and more (slowly thank god). Is there a way I can fix this? Drill new holes and remount the whole front panel maybe??? Help me guys!! Thanks

That's GM fit and finish for ya. A few years and the panels start moving like tectonic plates.

 

How much of a gap are you guys talkin about here... ?

 

im not sure, but i think that the front clip is just held on with like 2 screws and double sided tape. if it is tape, take it off, clean the contacts and reapply new tape. if the screw holes are boring themselves out, you may be able to use bolts or bigger screws.

 

you seriously think the entire front clip is help on with 2 screws and tape? lol some people...

First off the answer to your question is very simple. Your hood is getting shorter. Its like a really old person and it begins to shrink. lol ok j/k sorry

Can you get some pictures so we can figure out a better idea of the area?
