Playing with a paint idea.

I've been playing with the idea of bringing the black from the roof and windows down to make everything a little less unsightly and here are the results. I used cheep rattle can paint on the nose to get the general idea before I decide to put it in the booth for actual paint.

Whatcha think?

Can't really put my finger on it but it just doesn't look right man.I think it might be the way it just stops at the edge of the nose piece.

IMO, does not look too good. I think the problem is that it creates a straight line on a car that has none.

After careful consideration (and four replies to the contrary, lol.) I've desided to go with the bland ol' factory paint scheme on the nose.

Re: Playing with a paint idea.

I had thought about doing that at one time, sort of reminiscent of the second gen rally sports. It might look better if you come down the sides with it a bit & outline it with some pinstriping like they did on the second gens.

I've also seen where the black from the top is incorporated into the rest of the car, by just painting the top of the scoop black, paint the head light section back to black, the opening in the bumper cover black, the tail panel black & leave your Z28 badges & handles black. Also go with black wheels.

Looks sharp if you ask me.

Something like that.

Just paint the top of the scoop black and paint a stipe on the tail section to flow with the black scoop. Keep the headlight and foglight areas factory.
