Pix of ViS carbonfiber hood installed on a Firebird

A member of another F-Body forum got the ViS carbonfiber cowl hood installed on his Trans Am. I'm just posting a link to his pictures.

Not a bad idea to reference this considering this topic does come up every now and then. How much do those hoods retail for and how is the fitment?

Yeah especially because it is black; if the car was red and then it had a CF hood I would personally think it would look out of place.

I like the way it looks from the side angles. But head on I'm just not feeling it. Then again I have never really been a fan of big cowl hoods on 3rd or 4th gen cars, and at that I still think they look a bit better on Camaro's because of the lines and flow of the looks. But it is different. Which is what really counts. And the CF does look outstanding.

how was vis fit and finish. so many of those companies are a paint because of the work to make the hood look really nice on the car out of the box.

I'm not sure I'm into the difference in angle of the front of the cowl and the front bumper cover. I'm not quite sold on it yet, but it takes me a while to formulate an opinion of something new like this.
