Pictures and Thoughts
First Id like for everyone here to see my new 72 RS Camaro. Just got it home last thursday. Here are some pictues I took at work.

Now the thoughts.
I drove this car roughly 160 miles so I got to get the feel of a 2nd gen for the first time. The car sits low, but not third/4th gen low. The hood is long, but not never ending like the last 2 gens, and the blind spots are managable. I was very impressed with the lay out of everything, and I think that maybe THIS is the generation to be looking at as far as size and ergonomics. Its probably too late, but I hope that GM caught on before I did. I would deffinatly love something of a 2nd gen size with just more modern things (longer wheel base, better handling, etc etc).
Just my .02

Re: Pictures and Thoughts
great looking car Al. good luck with it.
i like the idea of looking at the 2nd gen for some of the "heritage" specifics for the 5th gen(although from the talk, might be to late to do much). the size has always felt right to me.

Re: Pictures and Thoughts
Sister had a similar one years ago...fixed up w/ some nice wheels and paint they look good..as for stock I think they look like poop lol...then again as far as camaros go the only ones I really like are the 4th gens...and the occasional 1st here and there

Re: Pictures and Thoughts
That is a very nice looking 72 RS. Reminds me very much of my first new car, which was a 71 SS 350. If you want to keep it looking stock you might be able to find the trim rings for the 14" wheels you have.
Re: Pictures and Thoughts
Looks good!
I almost thought that you meant to post this in another forum and not the 5ht gen forum, but I caught this...
Can you be a bit more specific on why you say that? Curious...

Re: Pictures and Thoughts
i posted it here because this is where I post and these are the people I only care to hear there opinions. Except the crazy ford people.
Im looking to put a set of Rally's and BFG Radials on it, followed by a nice exhaust set up and HEI tune up. Engine is a 350, dunno where. Edelbrock carb and intake. Yes, it was my grandfathers and he did buy it brand new in 1972 from GM and had it shipped to Antwerp in Europe where it spent most of its life.
As for my 5th gen comment, well I think that the 2nd gen probably has the best ergonomics and design for its time and to follow off that. A 5th gen designed around it would probably hit the mark.
