Thumbs up pics of peoples engine pain schemes?

I will have my block red I think, but what to do with the intake and waterpump housing? I am going to be puttin the motor back together soon, but I want to paint it nice before I do. I have a red firebird. I also have a black CSR e pump. So, I was thinkin red block with a black water pump housing. But, that would be plain, and what do do for the intake then? I want it colorfull, and alive! So, anyone got pics of how they painted theirs? I won't copy, just want some ideas as to what will look great under the hood.

Oh, also the valve covers are red, with red MSD OTVC wires too. So, maybe I have too much red... I don't know. Maybe go red on the intake, and black on the block? I will be using black corvette fuel rails too.
Thanks!
Cody

Re: pics of peoples engine pain schemes?

Thanks for the compliment SinisterSix. The valve covers are right out of the GM Performance Parts catalog. They started out with a black crinkle finish. They were then sanded, and painted to match the elbow and intake.

BTW, saying that this forum "blows" might not be the best use of words if you're actually looking for replies.

It's the original paint with a lot of Zaino. I used one of the 3M products (39009?) several years ago and since then it's just been maintained with a few coats of Zaino each year.
