Picked her up from the paint shop -

...and I think I fell in love with her all over again. I'll get around to the details soon enough (ie - badges, camaro lettering) but it's a great feeling to have fresh paint.

I couldn't seem to take any pictures that gave the job justice, but these two weren't bad.

Re: Picked her up from the paint shop -

Thanks guys! I honestly cant find a picture that truely shows how nice it is, but then again.. thats probably true with all new paint jobs.

Kingman, Im in New Haven County.

1BigBird, a local shop did the paint, and I did the body work. (Very little was needed).

Im waiting on some vinyl from Brent, then ill be able to throw all the badges up at once. Cant wait!

Looks sweet, what does a paint job like that go for, if you don't mind me asking.

Don't mind at all. This is a single stage rather than a base/clear, and having done all the body work myself, my charge was just under $1200.00. Worth every penny if you ask me... their attention to detail was great.

Seems very reasonable, I never would have quessed. But are there any draw backs to a single stage paint job, I must admit I know little about body work and paint.

thats the original rally red just new isnt it? i remember when mine came back from paint without badges.. i was dying to get them on, really brings it all home that you've got it how you want it. that paint job does look like it turned out REALLY good though. just dont get black z06 wheels and i wont hold a grudge lol.

Z-Rated, there are always drawbacks to not having a clear coat but i'm probably the wrong person to ask... I don't know much about it myself lol

Tiger, it's a tad deeper than the original rally red. When the light hits it, it just bursts with bright vibrant red, but when the lights are a bit mor dim, you can really see the true color. I love the way it came out. And dont worry: There won't be any black wheels on this red beauty, i'm looking to polished (can't afford chrome lol)

polished looks better with a bright red anyway, chrome + bright red = too much goin on, thats why i went with black/polished z06's i even had chrome wheels on mine at one time and didnt like it at all compared to this, i think ull be happier with polished on it. (and i know what you mean about the red, its impossible to capture its brilliance, or any other color for that matter, on a camera)

Good looking color choices there...

Looks like you got some real bang for your buck. I'd be happy too, man.

Keep us updated with more pics as you add the details.

Cheers,
