Re: Passenger Side Wire Mod -->Done! Got Pics
I have seen this mod with the LS1 cars on LS1tech.com but had never seen it done on an LT1. Did you guys splice the wires or did you drill the hole big enough to get the connectors through. I'm not big on cutting up the wirring harness so I may tray to cut the hole big enough for the connectors.

Where did you put the power supply box? This was one thing that I was wondering about, I don't think that the LS1 cars have that box, so I was wondering where to put it on mine. Also, do you have any pictures?

I did mine about 2 years ago, both sides, fuel lines, all of it...What a PITA, the driver's side, I cut a hole about 2"+ in the wheel well, and ran it up underneath where you can't see it...However, all of the harness (like 80 wires) had to be extended. The passenger side does not need an extension.
I can put pics up if you want but you can kind of tell at my site www.camarocasanova.freeservers.com
or some
better pics:

It definately cleaned up an awful engine compartment!!

I've been wanting to do this for awhile, where did you get the rubber grommet for it?
Looks great and now you have a place for the F-bod father to sign one day!

Just used the plastic wire loom and rapped those in a rubber hose. Couldnt find a grommet big enought for the life of me.

1.Remove the right front wheel and then the plastic inner fender.
2. Drill a 1-1/2 diameter hole in the steel fender well between the hood strut reinforcement and your PCM from the underside. It is easier if you find the place from the top side and drill a small hole as a pilot from on top.
3. Unplug all of the wires from the harness. Don't worry about how to re-plug them - there is only one way they will re-plug.
4. There is another wire that runs from the PCM harness down to a speed sensor (I think) that will need to be disconnected and re-connected.
5. Run the wires from the PCM side through your new hole. Run the other end of the harness through the existing space next to your battery down to the wheel area. Then re-plug your harness.
6. For safety sake, I neatly wrapped the wires and plugs with electrical tape to protect the harness and to keep the wires neatly together.
7. Now just put your plastic inner fender back in , and your tire, and you're back in business
