Painting My Z28 Badge white?

Pretty simple question. How do you recommend I go about doing it? What type of paint should I use. Or should I look at buying one online and just switching them out? Where could I find one?

Assume I'm dumb as a rock and can't even think of how to take it off and put it back on.(i have some ideas on how to, but would rather find out how to do it right)

Haven't tried to take mine off yet but I'd imagine it'd be a matter of prying it free enough with your hand to get something behind it for leverage. I'd probably use something like a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a bandana or a shop cloth as to not scratch up your paint a whole lot.

You could probably use some sort of caliper paint out of a rattle can or something similar to that and it should do you just fine, if you want to go ahead and paint them yourself.

If you want to get them aftermarket, http://www.emblempros.com has some good stuff. You might also check with Brent, he makes vinyl decals and badging for a pretty reasonable price, it's good stuff too.

Hope this helps.

First, I'd mark the position of the emblem, painters tape should work. Use a blow dryer or a heat gun on the emblem, then use floss or fishing line to take the emblem off. Clean the adhesive off the car, repaint the emblem, apply new double sided tape, and reapply.

I'd just get white overlays from Brent instead of going through a bunch of time and effort.

yeah, just get overlay decals, that would look better and be easier, and plus you could always take them off and change colors.
