painting brake calipers

I'm redoing my calipers. But can automotive exterior paint work as well? Think of the Subaru WRX STi, or the Infiniti G35, or the Nissian Sentra SE-R Spec-V. They all have the Brembo brake upgrade option. They are all also painted a high gloss gold metal flake. That is what I want to do to my calipers, but in red.....with a LOT of metal flake in the paint. How do you do that and have it stand up to the heat? Obviously Subaru, Nissian, and Infiniti (or Brembo) figured it out....now how do I do it?

Go to Napa or Discount. They sell a kit for calipers for $14, I bought this. I haven't done it yet b/c I'm waiting for my new rotors, STILL. Speed eng is haning a problem w/ there wholeseller they say. I bought black by the way. This paint is a ceramic paint so it will dry smooth and stay shinny. (I hope)

No, this kit is a brush-on. The kit comes w/ everything and you paint it on w/ a brush. It smooths out all the pits and it is said it will stay shinny for a long time.

I'm not talking about a kit though. Look at those Brembo brakes, they are not brush on, and I highly doubt they are powdercoated. They have a very high metallic flake to them. Thats what I want to do.
