Red or black either color would be fine and it's really not that hard to do at all.

Here's the write up I used when I did mine

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/calipers.htm

and here's how mine turned out

and if you are worried about durability those pics are recent and I did the calipers about 6 or 7 months ago

It's very easy to paint your calipers. I think painting the calipers black looks good since it doesn't take your attention away from a good looking wheel. Here's a picture of mine.

Thanks man yea it's really easy I did mine and my friends SS (painting time) about an hour let it dry over night and it looked great

BTW if you plan on doing caliper decals make sure you put atleast 2 coats of clear coat over em I did 3 coats and don't let the paint dry completely in between coats or the paint will not stick in some places.

Its easy, just make sure you wire brush em good and hit em with brake-clean. Then get at least two coats on. Very easy and good looking mod.

I have a 02 silver firehawk and I'm going to do mine. Red or black look the best and I have firehawk decals to put over top. Yes I will do a few coats of clear over top, great advice.

Nope theres no place for decals on 93-97 camaro back calipers 98-02 may have room for a smaller decal but not the full size like on the front.

that kinda sucks...i like the decals but just having them on the fronts is kinda goofy...

I did my calipers today and it was actually very simple even without taking off the calipers. Just take a wire wheel brush and go at them! Then take a dremel with a good bit for sanding and such and get the tiny areas that you cant reach with the wire wheel. Once that is done clean them off with just a towel and water really well. Once done, take your spray paint and spray it into a cup (make sure its not styrofoam or anything like that because the paint will almost immediately dry on that). Buy some cheap paintbrushes used for model cars and such. Tape off all the parts you dont want painted (only takes like 5 minutes, but will save your ***). Go over with about 4-5 coats with the brush. Let it sit about 20 minutes in between coats. Then let the final coat dry a little longer. Then you can basically just spray on the clear coat with about 2 coats. I did not use primer and it came out very easy and nice still. I am in the process of buying some decals to put on in a few days.
