Painted stock 5 spoke pics inside...should I paint them??

I personally think it looks great. Way better than the stock look. What i done was took some black duct tape and covered the areas that I would be painting. Then took some pic from far to see what it would look like with the black rims. Here are the pics, let me know what you think. BTW, im goin for the racey look. Here are the links.

Although I'm not a fan of black wheels........if that's your thing - it looks like you did a fine job.

From a distance you can hardly tell it's tape.

It looks pretty good. Just as long as you keep the lip silver like you did.

The only way I like the black look is if its 17x11s out back and secondly it has to be on a black car.

For some reason the black wheels on the red just does not do it for me. Of course its personal prefference and you do have a nice looking car.

Very Nice......
I think black rims with a polished lip on firebirds are the best by far.......
I almost bought a set on here till the guy faulted on me.....
Good choice..... I'd do it

I think the black looks good on red, just keep the lip silver, or you could polish it. Good luck, show us some pics when you're done!

Thanks for the replies guys. I have had alot of local people tell me it would look great. I really cant lose anything. It will also take away from the "stock" look. Another reason i wanted to paint them is because soon im gonna mount some drag radials and d/r's on 16in tires have been the best grip in my situations. I also like how it brings the tint on the windows out.
