Re: painted lt1 intake?

I used hi temp paint and after about a year it faded and turned kinda chalky looking. When i built the new motor i spent $60 dollers and had it powder coated candy red. Been on there 3 years and looks like new! Best thing is grease wont stick to it, just wipes right off, unlike paint where it gets in the pores. ur choice... $5 can of paint or $60 for powder coating.. whatever is in the budget.

Re: painted lt1 intake?

We wanted to be different, so we did it in chevy engine orange from the can. It was off of the truck, but if I'm done with my motor 1st, I'm swiping it. We'll just have to do mine, so my brother can use that one. Powder would be nice, but can't afford it.
