Re: Painted interior

Here's what I just got done doing the other day...

Finished Dash
Removed the panel from the car, painted it black with Krylon's Fusion spray paint (works really well, btw..) and then masked it all up, cut the outline of the flames into the tape, removed the tape covering the flames, and then painted it red. Came out decently, just gotta make sure you got sticky tape so it doesn't bleed, otherwise it's a really easy thing to do.

Re: Painted interior

I will try to post pics soon. I have a 30th anni(arctic white and hugger orange stripes), so I did arctic white accents. I painted the vent trim, radio bezel, and the circular defroster vents. Then sprayed a clear coat twice and put them in. Has a nice glossy finish. I think it looks pretty good. I will try to get some soon.

Good idea. The clear coat makes it look soooooo much better. Like a night and day difference.

Re: Painted interior

Personally, I just used Krylon Fusion, it bonds to the paint so you don't have to worry about chipping. I didn't care for the glossy finish, so I didn't really need the protection aspect of the clear coat.

Re: Painted interior

brad- I like the way you did the red around the a/c, radio, ect, and around the speedo, but on my 95 its not a seperate piece as like that is. Has anybody done something remote to this with the pre 95??

Bigg- nice choice with the silver, it looks almost metallic? is it?

Also how long until the interior starts to damage? like chip, crack , things like this. How long have you had your interiors done?

I painted mine from April of last year through July of last year and it's still in great condition.
