paint used for "whistler headlight mod"

i'm planning on doing the whistler headlight mod soon, and was wondering what type of paint would work?

right now i have a can of flat black enamal paint that i've used to prevent rust on my SFC welds... you suppose this would work? it should stick right...specially if i scuff the surface first.

just wondering. it's not like a $5 can of paint is a big deal...but if i can use what i have...even better.

and does anyone have closer pics of the finished product?

thanks
