ok the guy that did the body work on my car after i wrecked it didnt know there was a front peice to the body kit. when i took it back to him and told him he "ordered" it. he told me the one the GM dealership ordered was for an older body style and they dont think it was a GM product.. perhaps aftermarket. the kit was on the car when i bought it so im not sure but pretty positive that its the RS body kit. IS their an RS body kit for 98-02's? if so; the part number for the entire kit or preferably the front peice would be great!

also if its not the rs kit wtf is it? i only know of like 3 body kits commonly used on camaros: (Xenon, RS, and westcoast or suncoast or w/e it is..)

o- and the funny thing when he fixed the car he was able to order the rear peice and two side peices but "didnt know" their was a front peice? so i guess ill be calling him tomorrow ans asking him wtf kit he order those peices from.... /angry.

I do believe that the Z28 Sport appearance package and the RS package are the same. And yes the was an RS 98+.

 

Couldn't find individual part #s, but the whole kit is GM PN 12495399. It is a GM Performance Parts PN. The dealer might be able to break it down further. You know that they don't order the whole kit when they do a repair on only one section.

edit: The front section of this kit is actually a small left and a small right section. If yours looked different than that, it was not the kit it came from the factory with.

 

If it's what PJS TOY said (two separate pieces instead of one solid piece), then the part numbers should be the following:


12455117 Right molding kit
12455118 Left molding kit

The parts diagram references the pieces as "Molding Kit, Front End Fascia". They refrence the sides by RH and LH. They also call this the "Y3F" Body Molding, which should include all GFX and the spoiler too. You should be able to find the Y3F option code in your glove box if you truly have the factory GFX.

I would still double-check all of this at a dealer to make sure, but that info should be accurate.
