Ordered a dash plate

I know, I know......275 HP is nothing to brag about, but I was looking on Afterthoughtsauto.com and saw it, and I thought it would be really nice to have. They say they ship them out for engraving on the 1st and 15th of every month, and they ship 7 days after that, so I should be getting it sometime towards the beginning of November.

275 HP, 325 TQ, 5.7 liter LT1, 10.5:1 Comp

Let the flaming begin.

Re: Ordered a dash plate

Looks good, you could probably pass it off as an OEM special addition sticker, for those who dont know better...

I only have 125 hp in my Corolla, 275 seems like a big number to me

Wait a minute... where are you going to put it on your dash? Unlike the '97+ interiors, your dash doesn't have an area made for the dash plaque.

I'm way ahead of ya dude......I picked out a place, right above the glove compartment, and to the left a bit....on the sloped part of the dash.

Yeah, you could do that too. Anywhere on the passenger side of the dash, where it's visible.

Thumbs up Re: Ordered a dash plate

I want to see pics of it when you slap it on. I've seen those before and I thought about getting one some day. I want to wait until I get my heads and cam first though.

Yeah I hear ya. Unfortunately I don't really need to wait to get mine, seeing as how I'm probably never going to have a cam and heads.

I figure my exhaust and CAI adds a few horsepower but there's no way of knowing for sure (don't see myself getting to a dyno in the near future) so I just went with all the stock numbers.

Re: Ordered a dash plate

Nothin' to be ashamed of, re; hp.

Those plaques are nice. I ordered mine a few years back, with the factory ratings. The car's hp/tq are now higher after mods, but I stuck with the original numbers. I removed the SS plaque that came on the SS and put the new plaque in its place. Looks pretty cool.

Re: Ordered a dash plate

I forgot if the '93-'96 passenger side of the dash says "Air Bag" like the 97+, but if it does, you should cover that up with the plaque... Just make sure it doesn't become a weapon in a crash .

Re: Ordered a dash plate

That's cool. Is it a sticker or an aluminum plate?

I'm pretty sure it's thin aluminum.
