I might be looking into gettin a ss hood before to long. Who all makes them besides OEM, and whats there reputation?

 

ok well.........when i was looking for the hood i got an email from a lady who said that her husband had a oem ss hood and to make an offer and she would ask her husband so i offered 500+shipping and this time the husband replys saying that theres no way he could sell it for 500 when he knows what the oem ss lt1 hood is worth and that he would sell it to me for 1,100+shipping...........so i replied saying no thanks, i also said that if he knew that i could get it at the chevy dealer for 900 and that when the hood IS on ebay it doesnt go for more than 700............so he replied with "You are so full of **** my brother works at a chevy dealer and i know you cant get it from them and if you can it will be like 1,500 so i know all your other bullsh!t is lies"............at this point im shocked cuz the email i wrote wasnt offensive in anyway i was just informing him.............so now i start looking for the hood again on ebay and sure enough i find it......so i bid and with 2 days left i get out bidded so i start looking for another hood just in case my next bid was outbided and i found one......so i email the guy asking what was the reserve price(keep in mind we had talked to each other already through emails and he got pissed off at me) and he replies "look at the F*cking buy it now" so a couple days go by and i look at his auction and the highest bid was 620 and the reserve was 990.00...............so i emailed him with a boat load of "LOL's" this guy wanted 1,100 for his hood plus shipping and he got mad at me because i told him that he wouldnt get more than 700 on ebay.........i dont know it was funny to me but thats my story

 

Well.. I actually it is the hood I bought.. the one with the black stripes on ebay... I payed for the hood 800 plus shipping...

He did a wonderful job packaging it and the hood arrived very well taken care of...

I just had to protect myself just in case

 

that guy is an ****HOLE...............i emailed him trying to straighten everything out and he just kept on being a jerk.....even when i tried to higher my price he kept on being a little B*itch.....if it all went good for you then thats good to hear but he is still a D*ick

 

I got to tell you.. he was very very VERY Helpful.. he anwered ALL My emails.. and he was patient and he took AWESOME care of the hood... Im happy... as you could see on the other post. He cover the hood in some sort of a thick blanket then a lot of plastic.. did a "cage" in wood so It wouldn't be crushed and man.. when I got it.. PERFECT..

 

thats good to hear....just be thankful you didnt say anything offensive to him
