Good evening...
We have practically the same car, except that I've already done the Y2k rims. I don't have pics posted online, but if you leave me an email addy, I can send them from work. When I was shopping for rims, I found that:
17x8 or 17.9 rims were easy to find, but 9.5" width was more difficult and had to order them from CA.
Almost every company offers only a 1yr warranty on them - After much looking, I found a company that offered a 3yr warranty.
Just remember to add in the price of tires, if you're going from stock 16" rims to 17" rims. When I was all done (tires from www.tirerack.com, wheels ordered online and tires mounted at my local NTB), it totalled around $1800. I'm running 275/60/17"...but if I had to do it again, I'd go 285's...
The wheels do look sweet on it, esp. if you like the thin spokes of the 'vette wheels. I spent the extra $ and went with chrome - They shine like a new star...when they're clean.
