Re: newly painted by macco
I have a macco job, got it 3 years ago, the only thing I regret is not doing some of the prep myself because now I have some peeling around the door locks and a small spot on the side from a high pressure car wash, and I have the clear coat starting to separate on the spoiler. I still have time on the warrenty so I might take it to them this summer to work on although that kind of stuff doesnt bother me, The value is good but I kind of regret painting the car all together.

I had a Maaco paint job on my 88 that looked pretty good, for about three years. It's all hazy in spots now. The prep is where the money goes. You get what you pay for, if you are lucky!!!
Re: newly painted by macco
They did mine about 6 months ago here in north Houston. Been pretty happy with it so far. Was ~$1600 and everyone else was quoting $3-4k at a minimum. Nothing special...very minor body work (dings) and the color is the same.[IMG]

Re: newly painted by macco
I agree...but I've known other people that took theirs into this particular shop and they turned out OK. I drive mine just about every weekend that we have decent weather, so I wasn't looking for showroom quality and it has it's own space in the garage, so it won't get exposure to a lot of elements.
I'll probably turn in over in a couple of years anyhow. I'm already getting tired of a stick again...
