Talking New paint...

Hey Guys. I've been lurking here a while and bought a beat 94 Z 6m about a month ago. It was hit in the side so it needed to be fixed. So why ,ake it look like everyone else's, right?

Well here it is. Got to pick it up in the rain. Yay!

Here's the dent from before on the pass side. Otherwise, it was a black camaro.

Here it is now...

Sorry for the overcast pics, but it's what we've got for weather right now... I'll have pics in the sun if it ever comes back out... It's plain black on top (non-metallic) with metallic charcoal on the bottom split by metallic orange flames.Once again Matt hit it on the nose. EXACTLY what I wanted!!!! He's 2 for 2 with me! And that's Chicken's Customs in Worcester, Ma, for those who wanna know who did the work. He'll treat ya right and he only had my car for a week!

So what'dya think?

Re: New paint...

im not a big fan of flames but i think it pulls together pretty well, cause i am a HUGE fan of charcoal grey that flame makes a pretty good border between the two colors, i dont love it but a border is always good with a swap up color scheme like that. great job for a week, mine was in the shop for over 3 months and it was just a basic re-paint lol.

Re: New paint...

I like it. I saw a first gen in chevy hi-po that was blue/silver with green flames. I think it would look better if the flames had been a little smaller. Definately cool though.

I didn't like the flames at first, but I think I'm starting too. Looks good, nice job!

Looks good. I'm not diggin' the flames but the car looks good overall. Now rescue those poor TT2s with some polishing!

Ultra Z hood? Something about it looks different to me. Can't put my finger on it.

Re: New paint...

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with it. I finally got to see it in the sun (for just a little bit) today and MAN! That charcoal has some heavy metal flake in it! Looks awesome!

I just bought the car about 6 weeks ago. It was hit in the side and was severely neglected. The kid put on the TT2's 4 years ago and NEVER cleaned them, They'll be coming off the car this winter and I'll spend some QT with them restoring them to their original luster for next season. Thanks for pointing them out.

And it's just a plain old Ultra Z hood and spoiler, AFAIK. I bought it that way.

She's coming along, but needs plenty more work. I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again... (even if you all didn't like the flames )
