New mod for you AT guys

ok, i took off my console, and took out the shifter parts, there is a piece of glass under the piece of glass that says P R N D 1 2, it has a long piece of black matierial glued on to the piece of glass, peel this off, it is not very difficult, replace the light with a high intensity LED of your choice, make sure it is 12v regulated and approximately the same size as the previous bulb, you may have to glue it in place, anyways, when you turn your lights on at night, the P R N D 1 2 light up very bright with the color of your LED, sorta neat looking if you ask me, sorry if this has been done before i just wanted to post anyways, let me know what yall think, i dont have a digicam so i cant take pics, but this mod takes like NO time at all, very easy, let me know what yall think

ok guys, i dont know the bulb number, its the same bulbs as the ones that light up your window/door switches. Anyways bulb number doesnt really matter in this case. I will try to be more specific and detailed so here goes. When i first got my car the **** position indicator was broke, so nothing lit up. But since everyone knows how to tell what position it is in just by counting then who really needs an indicator? so i took the middle panel off, flipped it over, unscrewed the 4 screws holding the white piece in. take it off flip that over. pull off the piece of class that says P R N D 1 2 and then you will notice another piece of glass behind it. On this second piece of glass there is a black sticker. Remove this sticker. Now put everything back together, but do not put the console back on. take the wire that has the light on it, if you have a colored bulb then just pull (you might have to put a cloth over the bulb and use some pliers and pull pretty hard) the bulb out, or if you are using a 12v regulated high intensity LED then you can just cut the wires and wire it on. Then as you will see, on the bottom of the white piece, where you first removed the bulb there is a hole, glue/tape or whatever you want to do to make the new bulb stay in there, now at night, when you turn on the lights, ALL the little dot indicators glow with the new color, its pretty neat

oh yeah, if you use a bulb, then the dimmer will adjust the brightness of the panel, geez, my car is starting to be lit up more and more like a cockpit, hehe

The actual bulb number is a 37, 74, and any other bulb that is in that range, (there's about 4 I think). Problem is, no one makes them in a different color. The only thing I can think is he found a single LED bulb and fixed it to work, or a 194 cluster bulb and got it to work somehow???

The bulb is the same as (like he mentioned) the door lights, and the HVAC lights.

Buddy of mine did this, but he molded (yes molded, the guy was mold crazy) a 3" neon from street glow behind his letters. Looks sweet! So im sure the LED will be badass too!
