new mod-signal lights

ok guys ive tried the search function-but to no avail. I know that ive seen it on one of these sites before. Someone modded his side view mirrors so that they would have signal lights in them. I saw this mod on a TA yesterday--and it looked awesome. I was wondering if anyone had any info on this-anything would be greatly appreciated.

I know you can get the LED one's that stich onto the outside of the mirrors. You can get them from Autozone or Advance. I have seen them a couple times. I have also seen the ones that stick to the glass and have the arrow that you can see from the rear.
Just another suggestion.

These might be the ones you are talking about. If they are, they are the import mirrors from Japan.Somewhere I have the e-mail adress for a guy that can get them. When I find I will post it for you.

Can't find the e-mail for the guy, changed hard drives since then. You might try e-mailing the owner of that car and see if he can get you some info on them.
I'll keep looking though.

The break-away mirrors look aweful on our cars IMHO.

Those are similar to the stick-on ones you can get, except they don't mount flush. Good luck in your search though.

Break-away? where did you get that name from-and if that is the true name for the mirrors, why are they called that?

Because the mirrors can be folded in towards the car. Kind of like some trucks.
