Thx, but you don't want my rims. Long story short, I had a guy detail the car, he put abrasive wheel cleaner on my polished wheels and they looked like crap so I painted them. I didn't have access to automotive paint so I spray-painted them. Looks good from a distance but not up close. I'm going to get some replacement wheels hopefully in November.

Btw though, since you're looking for black wheels, look on eBay. You can get them much cheaper from good companies (and you don't even have to go through with an auction if you don't want to - just look at ones with "Buy It Now" on them). There are black ZR1 wheels with machined lip for $395 a set and they have gunmetal ones for $460 I believe.

Myself, it's been a hard decision but I think I'm going with the polished Z06 wheels because I'm ready for a really shiny wheel again.

thanks guys, SVT what do you mean, the sideskirts?? id like to see a pic of a car with that done! I love the new look to my car! only other appearance upgrade is gonna be rims! then ill start adding on to performance, already got headers, intake, y-pipe, and the crappy muffler with tips that came with the car when i bought it! and again thanks for the complements guys, the man who painted my car(my dad) keeps on giving me sh*t because he doesnt like it!

 

Dave I found those rims you were talkin about on E-bay, really nice, ill be gettin some of those black ZR-1s in a couple months! I also need to install my headers and y-pipe sometime soon..

 

biggest thing i noticed.... your wheels. are those stock 16in painted black chrome? if so do you have more pics of them out int eh sun? i have those wheels and im gettin them done black chrome... on a red t/a and ive never seen it before, look real cool i think

oh yeaaa now I see what your talkin about, when my dad and I repaint my front bumper we'll take that off, clean it up, and paint over it!! We did that to my old black firebird and it looked so much better...I thought you meant the sideskirts

 

doesn't that safe guard a little bit against door dings? My dad won't let me take the side molding off my car cause he swears up and down I'll get 100 more door dings by doing that.

 

Very nice your car looks like the trans-am equivalent of my car with the black top/mirrors and tinted windows on a red car. Very original for a trans am, nice work.
