ok everyone i just got my new cowl hood a few weeks ago, i have a white 97 camaro. on the car i have all black accents(35th ann wheels, blackouts, real fill ins, tint, etc). as for the hood i was thinkin either an all black hood or white with the sides of the cowl painted black. anyone got an opinion

 

How about white hood and put black stripes on the car? Just my opinion

 

How 'bout 30TH anniversary style stripes? I used a stencil kit from Stencils and Stripes Unlimited to paint '97-'98 Camaro "Bright Purple" stripes on my "Purple Pearl" '93 Z.

how about a vinyl stripe kit? less work, less hassle, comes out just as good as paint, and if you ever need to take it off, you done have to do the extra body work to smooth out the stripes.... you just peel the damn things off lol just my opinion, painted stuff looks good, but if you ever need to re paint it, its going to be a pain.... JMHO

 

yeah i like the idea of stripes, they would have to be painted on. im sure its way to difficult to get the vinyl ones to fit right on the hood, unless the sell a stripe kit for a camaro with a cowl hood thats 4 3/4

 

Yup...The cowl hood+factory "vents" made it impossible to do vinyl. Painting them on also gives you unlimited color options.

Just please dont leave it black. That bugs me, looks unpainted. I would definately do stripes or something.

 

I like the looks of gunmetal stripes and fill in's along with chrome wheels on white cars. JMO

 

When I painted mine. I had the guy paint some Ghost stripes on the car. Maby a little darker than ghost though. Looks killer. You cant really see them because they are on the cowl itself until your up on the car.
