Re: New HID's installed :)

Thanks for the responses and the compliments, thats why we have the cars we have...

Ill try to get some better pics of the lights..maybe it'll be whiter at night.

as for the install, it was pretty straight forward.

there are 3 parts to hids:
the ballast (sorta like an amplifier for the light)
the bulbs
the sockets.

first you need to remove the stock housing headlights and remove the wiring harness from your light.

next, with a plier, twist the headlight until it breaks off the housing. its glued tight, so you would need to put some arm into it. the headlight should come off cleanly off the housing.

next, place the hid bulb into the housing. I chose to hot glue the light and put a bit of rubber silicone to seal it a bit more.

the ballast is connected to the sockets and the socket to the bulb. be sure not to touch the bulb.

finally, the ballast has a total of 5 wires. 3 on one side which connect to the socket, and two on the other side (black and red). you will need to cut off the wire harness piece on your car to expose the two wires. butt the 2 wires (black with black, red with yellow) and thats pretty much it.
