Angry new headlamp for 98-02 camaro = 209$?

I wanted to replace my drivers side headlamp because it was getting too fugly and checked out gmpartsdirect.com for pricing and saw that a replacement headlamp for a 98-02 camaro is 209 bucks! Anyone able to find a better source for a new headlamp? I am not interested in any ebay halo lights that look too futuristic for the car even though I know I can a pair for like a 100 dollars maybe even less. I am scared to buy a factory knock off unless someone has a positive testimonial they'd like to share lol...anyways as always thanks in advance for any input.

Sand yours, buff them, and clear them. Good as new....

A body shop can hook you up w/aftermarket stock replacements. I've also seen them on ebay too. They set further back and will leave a gap, but you can reuse your stock black mount from your OEM's on them.

I've done the sand and buffing thing on my wife's GA, and it isn't quite as good as new.

is it getting all "fogged" up? or is it just messed up? the replacement ones off ebay are probably the best way to go, price wise. u just might have to use some washers on the bolts to get the housing to come to the bumper...

My stock headlamps, that have never been moved, unbolted, yadda yadda, have a gap similar to your halos....

Does anyone have a picture of this gap? I am interested because my stock ones have a bit of a gap as well. But I want halo's. Thanks!

I got frustrated one day and wet sanded mine way down then kept compounding them, End result was very nice, came out very clear!

Try it out, it's worth the shot.
