New Guage and Stainless LT1 ram air grill covers installed (Pics)

Hey everyone,

Just got done installing a few little things. I got my interceptor guage recently and its a really cool piece. I placed it in the very bottom of the guage cluster. I also installed Stainless steel ram air covers. They are subtle but look really nice in person. I also installed new hella housing and did the H4 conversion, but havent had a chance to snap some nice pics. The lighting difference is huuuuge over the stock crappy sealed beams.

The grills look great. Where did you purchase those?

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for the compliments. I saw them over on LS1tech forums. Do a search for DragonZ28 posts and he is one who is making/providing them. He sells them on ebay. If I remember, his auction name is Muffinbuster. I'm very happy with the subtle look of them and the guage def is a sweet piece as I said before. it has recording functions and matches the look I was trying to achieve with the red/black face. Its not cheap, but it has a lot of features. I'll get the headlights pics up soon.

How do the grills attach to the hood? I see the screws/bolts in your pictures, but I am trying to figure how exactly they are held in place.

Edit - I found the answer on the Ebay listing. I thought that these were stand alone pieces that would replace the stock parts. For $85 I would hope they would be total replacements. They look good, but I'll stick w/ my coated vents for that much $.

Doing it a different way would require some type of plastic backing for the clips to pop into the hood. $85 was steep but the machining on these is top noth and they are thick. You also cant even see the stock grills so they look like full inserts. To each his own.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that they do look nice, and of a high quality. There was another guy here, CREATIVE2 , who had these HORRIBLE covers that screwed on. The holes appeared to be drilled by a one eyed drunk 2yr old. I can't stress how bad they were.... There would be a lot of work to get them identical to the stock grills, as the ones you have seem to be. I just wish there was a way to CNC a grill with the some type of tab to attach to the hood...without costing $200 a set.

I really like the guage, I wish you could use it in 94-95's.
