New A/C Delete Interior Mod (prototype)
For those who have deleted the A/C and have no use for the fans.
This is just a prototype, I'll be making improvements on it until I'm satisfied. Still not sure if I chose the right colors. I think I should have just done a black backing, but I'm not sure. It will look better with a red steering wheel insert. I am in the process of removing it and relocating the alternator, not sure when I can get it done.

Yea, it wasn't as dark as I wanted. And I actually think the emblem is a little too big. I may try something else, like maybe a small bowtie, not sure yet.

It actually lights up in blue, or whatever color you want. I just never hooked it up, the previous owner had a bird's nest of wires in there, didn't want to mess with it.

Got it black now.....Going to make another plate where it basically slides under so you can't see any cuts (ie: looks factory)
Emblem is still too big for my tastes. I still prefer something 3-d over a sticker, though. I'll be hunting around for stuff.

i have a stupid question...
you NEVER find the need to move any air through your car or turn your heat on the slightest bit? i realize you live in cali, but around here, i find myself turning the heat on some nights and keeping the windows down, simply cause it's nice out but a bit chilly, so im kinda getting at, why take the whole thing out?
either way looks pretty nice, as long as you can make it clean and make it look like GM made it that way, it should look real nice. good work

No, I'm used to it. Having driven in camaros with poor A/C for 4 years, I've just never used it. I work in a body shop and am not in an air conditioned room all day, and I go home in my non-ac car. As for defrost, I use a product made by rain-x or a similar company made for interior windows to stop them from fogging up and have never had a problem, I just re-apply once and a while.
Anyways, here's some progress, I've chosen the look, now I have to just clean it up some more with the next plate.
It looks nicer in person, seems like the flash takes away from it, by reflecting too much....I should have turned it off.
As you can see, the double-sided tape and also where the plate ends is noticeable, the final piece will fix that.
Next I'm removing that fuzzy dash cover and using it as a template to make a cover out of something leather-like.
