WHAT KIND OF PAINT IS BEST FOR REPAINTING THESE FRONT BUMPERS? i tried all sorts of stuff on my old '89 (same material bumper) and it just cracked and flaked off. i want something i can have stay on, but take a small impact (like me leaning on it working on the car or something like that. any help..please?
You need to put flex agent in the paint.

Well the shop had better know about flex agent or its a shop you don't want to be going to. It should cost you about $500ish.

I have my body shop buddy do it and he charges me about $250 he said to do the front bumper correctly it should be removed to do the work and he said a good estimate is 4-500 at a real body shop.

i don't see a need to remove it to paint it. thats what masking it off is for.

so you think it will be cheaper if i remove it, then they dont have to mask and charge me extra which is what they probably would do.

thats probly the best way to go, and then you dont have to worry that they didnt remove it and give you what they said they would, cause its already off lol. hard to find people that always do what they say they will =/ or at least thats the case around here...
