Exclamation Need pics of Silver fbodies w/ blk stripes! Advice needed!

In the process of having my car repainted and need some guidance if possible. To my knowledge when stripes are painted blk on a silver car it's gloss blk correct? Painter here seems to think it's overkill w/ the silver I'm going with. Diamond Silver Metallic is the color by Mercedes. The paint came out awesome. I've got TT's so naturally Blk pillar bar, headlights are gloss blk, and the mirrors all the same.

My 2 choices for the stripe because of the Ultra hood are this.

This is my car here. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...34322618BzkwKA

Option 1: http://community.webshots.com/photo/...34323666utXoZL

Option 2 I prefer w/ a deviation. Middle line in hood would be solid: http://www.jrscustoms.com/red_z28.jpg

I need advice ASAP as the stripe either goes on this wk or not.

You can see a few pics of it here to get an idea what the color is. Not the best because I was in a hurry. Thanks for you help!

Hey that's my buddy's old car, before he wrecked it. I'd say go with that style it seems to fit the hood better. I don't think it would be an overkill at all. If that's what you want done to your car have it done and tell the painter to shut his trap and just paint the damn car already.

If it was my car, i wouldnt put stripes on it at all. If i were to change my mind, i think a grey would look cool, in the second style. Black just seems to catchy, grey would make it look kinda of "Ghosty" dont know if you are getting the same picture my mind is registering here or not.

I like the second style sripe better, but no stripes would be equally as hot.

Your car looks awsome as is, I wouldn't put stripes.

95_LT1 I get what you are saying and that crossed my mind as well. I just want some stripes or something because the car has a attitude out of this world and I need the paint to reflect that. When it was blk that was enough in itself but this Silver is just plain wicked but I think a stripe of some type would just really set it off.

Well I'll have more pics of it this wk fully reassembled and I'll post em. I still haven't seen it in the sun and from what I'm hearing it's a thing of beauty. Can't wait!

Thanks for all the input!

Well I got a pic finally. I know it's only one but just wanted to throw it out. Definetly not Sebring Silver by a long shot either. Finally compared the 2. I'll have more later in the wk.

Didn't go w/ the stripe either as planned. This silver just didn't look like it needed it. Tell me what ya think.

Looking good! What did you wind up with motor wise after all? I lost track after I think you posted about doing a rebuild about a year ago maybe.

I went on and rebuilt the 396 more like 398 and some change. Luckily once everything was out and really looked at the damage I managed to only need one rod and piston replaced. Heads needed milling since the screw that lodged between the piston and CC got messed up. New bearings, rings, and valves and she was good to go. Thanks for asking Wraith.
