Need Help With Firebird A.s.a.p

My mom just got a 2000 Firebird and we tested the pop up headlights and everything worked fine but when I tryed to turn them off they closed but but the headlight motor kept running and making a nasty sound so now I cant turn the headlights off. Has this happened to anyone before or does anyone know what I can do to fix this even temporarilry to get the lights off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need Help With Firebird A.s.a.p

what is wrong is that the plastic gear in the motor has striped. What you can do to fix it is buy another motor, or visit Brent Frankers sight and buy the metal gear he sells and install it your self. The metal gear will never strip and will fix your problem. In the meantime you can manually raise your head lights up and disconnect the motors. This will leave your head lights up regardless of if you turn them on or off.

Theres more info on Frankers sight http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/headlightfix/index.htm Theres the link to the head light motor fix. Good luck
