My Z-28 in all its glory

In the past month or so my Z-28 has gotten some much needed love and attention. It started off with a new paint job, then I got her some new tires because the old ones were at the end of their life span. Of course I made a nice smoke show before I gave 'em up. Some broken interior parts like the dash pad, seat belt guide, and mirror trim were replaced, and I've detailed it front to back, inside and out.

Here's the smoke show from this past Wednesday.

I got it washed today and went out for some pictures.

The engine bay after a good cleaning.

Custom upholstery up front.

More custom upholstery in the back.

It's been just over four years since I brought it home and it's been a mixture of fun and frustration getting it here. It's just about finished save for a couple small things, and I am looking forward to getting it in the big car show here in about three weeks. If you want to see more pics, just check out my Fquick garage either to the left there or down in my sig.

I can guarantee you've spent exponentially more $$$ in that car than I have budgeted for my cam swap.

Thing is, I'd be doing a lot more than a cam swap.

To be honest, I'm not sure. My stepdad did it for me as a Christmas/birthday gift. I helped a bit, but he's the one that does interiors for a living. I'd imagine probably close to ~1000 dollars.

WoW, a thread with pictures of Shocks car!

J/K Shock. Your Z is beautiful. I think the only thing left is to get the bowtie in the middle of the fogs. The interior looks great. Alot better than just white leather. They should have come like yours stock. Great job on the car Shock.

Yeah, I'm whoring it out here recently, and across several boards.

Thanks for the compliments. I actually have all of the emblems, but after having them off for the last year, I prefer the way it looks without them. I contemplated putting the bowtie back in the "grill" but my friend and I agree that we both like it better without it.

I think if you get the emblem overlayed in orange, it would tone down all the white and make a good transition from the stripes to the bottom of the bumper. I do agree that it looks better without the z28 emblems. Now you can send them to me as a gift.

I don't know, I'm content with just having the nose emblem up there. And sorry, I'm holding onto the emblems just incase I decide to put them back on some day.
