If you are just interested in having a camaro like yours I would do electric. It is easier to keep togther and up running. But if you think it would be a good hobby to be into here is a basic listing.

HPI nitro RS4 w/ camaro body $259.99

Starter kit $49.99

Tire Glue $8.00

My paint that was mixed at a body shop in a spray can was $15.00. Check around for that price or see if they make your color in testors model paint.

If you do go nitro, get extra fuel (you will burn through a quart very fast), and get extra glow plugs.

Last you need 12 batteries. 8 for the controller, and 4 for the car.

If you have a local hobby shop, always try to support them. They will work hard for your business and help you when you need it. When I can't get my parts from a local place I always order everything from www.hobbypeople.net. They have had great prices on everything, and everything I have ever needed.

If anybody decides to do this and uses car paint, let me know. I have learned some pointers that will make it work and look better, Unfortunately after experimenting on my own body.

The body is made out of lexan, and yes it can be airbrushed. My buddy and I do it all the time. Just make sure you get some lexan paint because the body flexes and when it does you don't want the paint to chip off.
