My Bored on a saturday job...

I grabbed this MSD 6al from a guy here on the forum, and it works, but alot of the powdercoating was chipped off, so i peeled the labels (and saved them), taped it off, and started spraying.. Heres what i came up with.. A Grabber Green MSD box. What do you think?

lmao! no, not quite.. and i wasnt even gonna bother posting this up, but im bored and figured it might spark up some kind of conversation LOL. I think it came out pretty decent. I'm considering doing up a ported intake that color, and maybe taping off around the "bbk" on the bbk throttle body plate, and spraying the "bbk" letters that color too.. It's just obnoxious enough to look pretty cool IMO.

Did you tape off all the lines on top? maybe its my crappy monitor but some of them look like the paint ran a little? A much easier way would have been to spray the whole thing- then take a chunk of 2x4 and some 400 grit sandpaper and sand the paint off the top edges and work back up in numbers till its nice and shiny again.

Nifty idea otherwise for sure- certainly different. When I see it though I immediately think it should be on a Mopar though...

yeah i did tape it off, didnt even think of going about it the other way, that would have been a hell of alot easier! the paint didnt run per se, the tape just wasnt perfect in all areas of it.. I may re spray a couple coats and then sand it down.. My car is far from show quality, but i think i may go that color route with all my under the hood components.. its different for sure.
