My 96 SS vs 2002 35th Camaro - opinions please!
Ok... I love my 96 SS.. I never thought that I would even consider selling it but I'm getting a great deal on a 35th Anniversay Camaro. I know if I had asked this in either the LT1 or LS1 forum I would get bais comments. So.. I put it in here. Because not only do I want to know about the performance.. but I would love it if people would post some pictures for me (only the interior.. I don't need exterior) And most of all I would love a sound clip of the 35th stock exhaust. I believe they came with an option package of having center mounted tips of some sort? Thats what this one has. And I know my exhaust sounds mean.. and newer ones are kinda quiet... so can you guys help me out??? I don't particulary want to sell my SS.. put with the paint peeling and bubbling.. it's kind of a turn off.
Any opinions are very welcome. I want to know what you guys think.

Well.. I wish it was that simple.. but it's not like I'm trading my 96 SS then paying like 3 grand more for the 35th... It will be more like 11 grand more.. and I'm just a little tight... but then again my Ss is kinda starting to run pretty rough.. if I keep my 96 I'll be getting a new paint job anyways.. so how much would a paint job cost me? I mean I nice custom one.. if it's up there close to 11 grand (american) then maybe I'll just bite the damn bullet and go with the 35th..

i would keep the '96. Think about it, '96 marked the "return" of the SS. Plus, there are gonna be plenty of 35th's to choose from later on down the road. The '96's are already hard to find. I love the 35th's though, but i'd keep the 96 if it were me. Only my opinion.
You know what.. your obsolutly right.. I never really thought of it like that. There will be plenty of cheaper 35ths down the road.. but to be honest.. I have yet to see many 96 SS's. Thanks a lot guys. Maybe this way I'll get both some day

I will admit - I would absolutely love to have a 35th, but only because it's a 35th. If I put myself in your shoes - which - I have already been there, twice - then here's what I would do/did. Keep the 1996. You like the car - you can always mod it more. Plus, it is black on black.
If you get the 35th - then you are looking at a possible financial strain - if anything happens to it (scratches, dents, etc.) - it's going to hurt a lot more, because you are making payments on it, and you can't really save enough money to mod it (unless you are just rich, which isn't the case obviously since you are weighing the decision) 'cause you are paying for it. I know that's what shape I would be in. So what to do? I just kept the '94, stuck with it, liked it, drove it, and then just swapped out the ole' heart when she got tired. And you know what - that hurt a lot less than a car payment - and I still love my car.Don't get me wrong though - the 35th's are extremely nice (suppose you are talking about a SS), and I would love to have one, but it just isn't always that easy.
I would go with the 35th....I have my 35th..just got it bout 1 week ago and love it so far....sounds great but no clips of that type of exhaust and I dont really have any interior shots...sorry but i would definately go with the 35th Anniv. just my opinion though

If your going to stroke it and/or super/turbo charge it keep the SS. If you plan on doing simple boltons and maybe a cam, get the 35th
