Post mounting guages without an A-pillar

I'd like to mount up an oil temp and a water temp guage and have them very visible above the guage cluster so I can keep an eye on them when on the track. I can't put them on the A-pillar because I have a full cage and no longer even can fit in the factory plastic there.

Does anyone know of a pod that would fit on the dash or a good way to make one? I was thinking of taking a block of wood, my die grinder and a bunch of time and just carving one out and painting it black.

Thanks,
Rich

you could just use the auto-meter mounting pods and bolt them on top of the dash.. I had mine setup that way for a while.

This is sort of the extreme solution... and hard to see, but if you look carefully, you will see a full gauge panel at the base of the windsheild. That was made from aluminum.... the fact that the car is owned by the manager of MBA Billet may give him access to things the rest of us can't.....
