More powerful headlight harness, for 125 watt bulbs

when i got my bulbs off of ebay i mistakenly ordered they 125watt nokya's , insted of the 100watt ones. i know that with that much power going through our stock harness that it will fry. is there a bigger harness out there that could work with these lights? ANY help is appreciated. thanks

Well...actually, your stock harness won't necessarily fry with 125w. Read the info on this page. Would I really recommend it - probably not...but it would be ok coming from the engineering standpoint of it.

But here is where you can get the harnesses.

Are you positive that they are 125w usage - or 125w output? I know that even Nokya has an output wattage on there. See - read the details of this auction. They are passed off as 100w bulbs - but the seller actually states..."- Giving Higher Wattage Output 100W but only consuming Wattage 80W!"

So you may actually have a 100w bulb - just trying to help you be sure.

If you got them from eBay and they say 125w, I would bet money that the 125w rating s output (in their opinion) and not actual rating. My FX say 120w but are really 80w bulbs.

If that's what it actually says on the base of the bulbs - then that is the actual wattage.

Yes - you should be fine. Although a heavier harness would give you a better, more consistent flow - you should be fine on the stock harness with a 30-amp relay. BUT, know that I am not responsible for that if anything does go wrong.

The 9006's are the low beams - they have a silver tip to keep the light from diffusing as much as the high beams. The 9005's (high beams) are brighter because of this. In the stock setup - they are the same 55w - so that's the only difference (aside from the plug style).

Just noticed where you were from...
My mom lived in Kankakee for a bit when she was a little girl.
