I've got approximately 200 hours spread out over a 5 month period into it. I would say that if I had settled to just do the front of the block, I could've done it in 50. But in this case, I did the sides, the rear bellhousing flange, currently have the lifter valley and timing chain cove at 120grit finish, (will eventually be mirror smooth as well), and will finish it up by smoothing out the casting inside the crankcase area.

I'll just put it this way: for the time I have into this block, I could've done 3 aluminum ones.
